Tomorrow, Thursday, October 28th at 10:00 PM ET/PT — three days before Halloween — the Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files team returns to Syfy, investigating some of the most compelling, mystifying and seemingly inexplicable images ever caught on camera and posted on the Internet. Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files was a breakout hit on Syfy when the channel launched its new block of reality programs on Thursdays this summer. That success prompted an order for the six additional episodes premiering this month, continuing the show’s mission to uncover the truth behind some of the most fascinating “paranormal” videos ever taken.
This season takes the team further than they’ve ever gone, investigating footage from around the world including Hawaii and even what appears to be a mermaid off the coast of Australia. Using the latest in tool technology, CGI and CSI-like investigative techniques, the team is fully equipped to get to the bottom of even their most puzzling questions.
Below we have a sneak peek clip of the season premiere episode airing this Thursday. Ben and the team set up a haunted mansion scene to replicate a video by creating a dust cloud using Fuller’s earth which is a clay-like material that’s very dry. They blow it into the cellar of the mansion with a shop-vac to create the right air flow, and you start to see the scene come alive and how close it is to the submitted video the team received. Tune in tomorrow, October 28th at 10/9c only on Syfy to see just how close they can get to the original scene.
