Plot Synopsis

After her mother’s death, Cassie moves to her mother’s New England hometown, where she lives with her grandmother Jane, joins a secret coven of witches, and learns that she’s the key to a centuries-long battle of good versus evil. This secret coven has ruled the town of Chance Harbor, Washington for more than 300 years, and her family’s links to witchcraft goes back many centuries. The Chance Harbor coven includes: Diana, a smart classic beauty who is the head of the witches, instantly befriends Cassie and is dating Adam; Adam; Melissa; Faye; and Nick, the group’s bad boy who hooks up with Faye. The witches’ parents are: Diana’s father, Thomas; and Faye’s mother, Dawn, who is the Vice Principal of New Salem High School and was a friend of Cassie’s mother. At its 2011-2012 upfront presentation on Thursday, May 19, 2011, The CW announced the series will premiere in Fall 2011 and will air on Fridays at 9pm ET.
